Terms of Use

By using this website you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is

This site shows knives made by hand by Christopher Myers. It is a showcase and a way to get in touch. Nothing is bought or paid for on this website. There is no shopping cart, no checkout and no card payment. Every sale is arranged directly with Christopher by phone, text, email or in person.

Photos, prices and availability

  • Every knife shown is one of a kind. Photos are of the actual knife, and a knife marked sold is gone.
  • Because each piece is handmade, small differences in finish, grind lines, handle material, colour and size are normal and are not faults.
  • Prices and availability can change at any time, and a knife may sell before the site is updated. Nothing on this site is a binding offer to sell.
  • Prices shown do not include Georgia sales tax, which is added where it applies, or any shipping cost.
  • Knives are made by hand in Carrollton, Georgia. Materials such as steel and antler are bought in from suppliers.
  • All photographs, the logo and the wording on this site belong to Christopher Myers. Please do not copy or reuse them without asking.

No guarantees about the website itself

The site is provided as it is. Reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and available, but it is not guaranteed to be error free or always online.

Limit of responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Christopher Myers is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this website, or from the use, misuse or modification of any knife once it has left his hands. Owning and using a knife safely and lawfully is the responsibility of the owner.

Which state's law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.

Buying & Custom Orders

Custom orders

  • A custom knife starts with half of the agreed price paid up front. That deposit pays for materials and is non-refundable, because the materials are bought and the work is begun for you.
  • The balance is due when the knife is finished.
  • Timescales are estimates, not promises. Handmade work takes as long as it takes.
  • A custom knife is made to your description. Small variations from what you pictured are part of handmade work.

Returns

Because every knife is one of a kind and custom work is made for one person, custom orders are not returnable. If something is wrong with a knife's workmanship, contact Christopher and he will put it right or replace it. That is a promise from one person to another, not a formal warranty.

Sharpness and condition

These are working knives and they are sharp. Check a knife over when you receive it and keep it away from children.

Knife Safety & the Law

You must be 18 or older Knives are not sold or handed over to anyone under 18. Under Georgia law it is a crime to sell or furnish certain knives to a person under the age of 18, and that line is not crossed here. If you are under 18, please do not enquire about buying a knife.

Know your own local law

Knife laws differ from state to state and from town to town: blade length, how a knife may be carried, and where it may be carried. It is the buyer's responsibility to know and follow the law where they live and travel. Christopher makes knives; he does not give legal advice about carrying them.

What is made here

These are plain fixed-blade knives. No automatic, switchblade, gravity or out-the-front knives are made or sold. Those are restricted under federal law and by most carriers.

Shipping

Where a knife is shipped rather than collected, ordinary fixed-blade knives can be sent by normal carriers. Knives are not shipped anywhere that the buyer's local law forbids, and the buyer must confirm a knife is legal at their address before it is sent. An adult signature may be required.

Use them properly

  • A knife is a tool. Keep it sharp, keep it clean, keep it away from children.
  • Never carry a knife anywhere the law forbids it, such as schools, courthouses or airports.
  • Never use a knife as a weapon except where the law would permit.

Privacy

What is collected

The only information collected is what you type into the request form, or what you send by email or text: your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write about the knife you want. There are no accounts on this site, no cookies, no advertising trackers and no analytics. Nobody is followed around the internet because they looked at a knife.

What it is used for

Only to answer you and to work out your knife. Your details are never sold, rented or passed on for marketing.

How a message reaches Christopher

The request form is delivered by an outside service (Web3Forms) which passes the message to the shop's email address, and email sent to [email protected] is forwarded to a private mailbox. Those companies handle the message in transit under their own privacy terms.

How long it is kept

Messages are kept in the shop's email for as long as they are useful, mainly so a past customer's order can be looked up. Ask and your details will be deleted.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and information is not knowingly collected from children.
